Necromantic longsword with powers over the undead proportional to the power of the wielder, but inherently evil and corrupting in nature

Created by the powerful half-orc necromancer Karkan Murg, but lost when his own people turned on him and destroyed him.
It subsequently turned up in the possession of Hrothgault of the Kin, who in turn was slain by Surya of Tellare, the current owner. The sword has since undergone some additional enchantments and appears to provide that shadowed king with some of his more spectacular necromatic powers.
