During the Dragon's reign, term referring to the lands of Stryre, Nhased and the Erlyid Empire that remained unconqured
The expression continued in use for the southern lands afterwards, though mostly in Stryre and Nhased; the Erlyid were unwilling to be so closely linked with the "rebel provinces" unless in the direst extremity.
